Gia Jeong

Gia is a Ph.D. student in Mechanical Engineering at UC Berkeley. She received her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Sookmyung Women’s University, South Korea, in 2025. Before joining, she worked on a human-following quadruped robot project as a research intern at the AI-Robotics Institute, Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST). Her current research interests include the development of human assistive and industrial robots by improving sensing and actuating systems. She is passionate about mentoring, leading science outreach focused on appropriate technology, and swimming.
