Jungpyo Lee

Jungpyo Lee is Ph.D. student in the Mechanical Engineering department at UC Berkeley and has been working in the EDG since Fall 2019. The overarching aim of his research efforts has always been to make it easier for people to enjoy their lives regardless of any physical limitations. Within EDG, he is interested in studying tenodesis grasp devices for people with spinal cord injury.

Prior to joining the EDG, Jungpyo developed two Cube satellites as an engineer of the structural and thermal control system in conjunction with NASA GSFC. Also, he has worked on developing brain machine interfaces and MEMS ultrasonic neuromodulation tools in the Brain Science Institute at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), as a commissioned researcher. He received his B.S and M.S in Mechanical Engineering from Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea.

Jungpyo is a recipient of the Korean Government Scholarship for Study Overseas 2018.
