Deaho Moon
Deaho Moon received his B.S. degree in Mechanical & Nuclear Engineering from UC Berkeley and his M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA. Deaho joined the EDG in Fall 2021 as a Ph.D. student in Mechanical Engineering, and he is being co-advised by Prof. Hannah Stuart and Prof. Alice Agogino. Before joining EDG, Deaho developed tensegrity robot prototypes as an intern researcher at NASA ARC. Also, as a research scientist, he participated in various robotics research, including the Korean Lunar Rover project in the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Institute at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST).
His research interests include robot system/mechanism design and design optimization for locomotion, especially for space robots and planetary rovers. Outside the lab, he enjoys playing soccer and exploring famous cafes and restaurants.
Deaho is a recipient of the Kwanjeong Educational Foundation (KEF) Overseas Scholarship 2021.
